Have a story about your favourite place in Singapore? Share it with SG Heart Map and it could be featured in one of the unique artworks being created to showcase the stories.

The SG Heart Map seeks to weave endearing and meaningful places and aspirations for future places into a collective map through the shared stories of Singaporeans. The artworks will be unveiled throughout this year till the finale event in November 2015.

Some of the artists are seeking more contributions to SG Heart Map to serve as inspiration and even be part of their artworks:


'Home' Photography Exhibition led by Gwen Lee

Co-founder of the Singapore International Photography Festival Gwen Lee is curating a photography exhibition in June 2015 on the theme of ‘Home’, and is collecting stories and images from Singaporeans of all walks of life.

Heart a Place by contributing your story with a nice photo under the theme "Home" to SG Heart Map now!


'50 First Kisses' Film led by Royston Tan

Filmmaker Royston Tan is looking for 25 more couples for his short film titled 50 First Kisses, showcasing 50 Singaporean couples and their most heart-warming moments which took place at cherished places in Singapore. The trailer was premiered at SG Heart Map’s first celebration event at Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park in March 2015.”

'SG50 Future City' Illustration led by Michael Ng

Michael Ng, founding member of OICsingapore (Organisation of Illustrators Council) is looking for participants to help illustrate the future of Singapore’s environment and infrastructure. These illustrations will culminate in a large showcase in November 2015.

'Special Occasions' Audio Installation led by Zulkifle Mahmod

Sound artist Zulkifle Mahmod is creating an audio installation, to be unveiled in November 2015, on the theme of ‘Special Occasions’, and is looking to collect 100 sound recordings and audio interviews of Singaporeans’ special events.

Submit your sound recordings (Format: .wav or .mp3 only; Duration: max 5 minutes) to or send Dropbox/Wetransfer link with email subject “Special Occasions Contribution”. In your submission, please state location, sound recorded and why it was recorded.
