SG Heart Map (新心相印), an SG50 programme, calls on all Singaporeans to jointly create a collective map of places in our country that defines Singapore as home over the years for each of us.

SG Heart Map was launched on 14 Nov 14 by Minister of National Development, Mr Khaw Boon Wan at the HDB Hub Mall. The launch event attracted more than 14,000 visitors and garnered more than 6000 contributions from 14 – 16 November 2014. Visitors to the event were able to plant a heart-shaped balloon that marked their endearing places on the giant Singapore map as well as shared the special story behind the places. Visitors also partake in the delicious local fares at the Heartland Food Festival.
At the event, the SG Heart Map Vans were flagged off and started their journey across Singapore over the next 5 months to collect contributions from the public to SG Heart Map. The rich tapestry of stories and shared experiences contributed by Singaporeans will help traced the development of Singapore over the last 50 years. These contributions will be used by various local artists to co-create art forms that will be showcased at the finale event in Nov 15.
